Dear Alice,
Remember doing this on a shirt for me in Delavan, WI a few years ago (
must have been in 1999?)? I remember you gave me strict instructions about
cleaning and ironing :) I used the shirt for 3 years, only at very special
occasions of course before I found out it was time to "rescue"
it.
Harriet, the puppy died tragically for me in November, only 4 years old.
That makes your wonderful piece of art extra special for me. Thanks to
you I can give my baby a smile and tell her how much I miss her, every
day.
Just wanted to let you know how much I love this picture, and that your
art work still is very much alive on the best wall in a livingroom in
Norway!

Hi Alice: Just came across your web site. Your name and work came up on
the Maltese Forum list .. some of us showed the work you've done. I think
you'll be getting some new clients ... everyone loves your work. I will
be choosing one of my maltese photos to send on to you. You did a wonderful
portrait of one my dog's about 8 yrs ago at our Specialty in Mass. Everyone
who sees it comments on how much of the dog's personality is captured
in your work.
Here's the portrait you did of my Gidget when she was a young champion.
She's now a great-grandmother at 12 yrs. Thought you'd enjoy seeing it.

Wonderful! I will put the check in the mail today. I can't wait until my family sees your treasures. We were lucky enough to see your beautiful artwork in Frederick; so, we'll be getting from you some memories of our keeshonds. I come from a family of dog lovers; obviously, a number of schnauzers. However, we love all animals and it's great knowing someone like yourself who can capture how special they are.

Just wanted to let you know I got the license plate on Saturday and it is beautiful!!! The likeness to Bailey is unbelievable, thank you so much for doing this for me! We've had a lot of snow and ice here lately so I'm going to wait until it warms up enough that I can wash my car to put the plate on. I have a hard plastic cover for over it so it should last for quite a while.

I just put a picture of it on two lists for everyone to see - hopefully we will get you a couple jobs to do. I didn't say the price - just very reasonable. So if anyone asks I will just tell them it all depends on what you want on it etc etc etc and to just e-mail you direct.

Alice!!!!!! You have done it again. I thank you very much for the absolute
beautiful painting of my baby, Casey. My mother has, once again, taken
photos of my dog who has passed away, to you for portraits. And as in
the past, you have captured the personality , detail, and character of
my dog.
In case you were just a "little"busy this week and do not remember
which portrait I am referring to, Pat Host is my mother and Casey is (was
) my Lhasa.You made a double study on light wood.
The first time I went to Nationals with my mother, our Bulldog, Spike
died several months prior to the Nationals. I took a photo to you and
when I first saw it on your stand, I cried. Again, several years later,
our bulldog Bobo died and we sent photos with my mother that year hoping
you would be there to do the wonderful thing you do. We hadn't had Bobo
long, rescued him from a divorcing family, so we didn't have very many
photos of bobo. He died of cancer, and you brought his character back
to us. As long as we continue to have dogs, we will continue to send photos
to you, via Pat Host. We have 3 bulldogs to date and hope they will live
for quite a while longer. But when the time does come, You will see Pat
again handing you photos of her daughters dog, and asking you to do what
no one else can do. (Bring our "kids" back to us the only way
possible)

My family (husband, daughter, & dog) gave me one of your mailboxes for Christmas. It has a picture of Magic (which looks exactly like him) and purple tulips (because I'm an enthusiastic gardener and purple is my favorite color). It was unquestionably my favorite Christmas gift, both because it was a complete surprise (I didn't think any of them could keep a secret that well) and because it is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for doing such a beautiful job.

My dearest friend Maria, gave me the plaque of our rescue foster dog Faith -- I cannot thank you enough for capturing her spirit/love ... she is just beautiful. I feel piece of mind as I look at her above our fireplace -- knowing her spirit lives on!

I just received the beautiful head shots you did on slate of our German Shepherd (Bravo's Corey of Nordlicht). I had to email and tell you what a wonderful job you did. His eyes are looking right back at me. He is a young dog (16 months), but I just love his head. You captured his soul. I look forward to having another done when he is older. He is pointed, as are 8 of his litter of 10. Maybe I will get another done when he finishes next year.

Dear Alice,
We got our Boxer Gabby on the slate the other night, I wanted to get back
with you and tell you how pleased I am with it. You also were able to
place the leather hanger on the slate which was a nice surprise, thank
you. I had taken a week off from work a month ago and tore apart our front
porch which the previous owners of the home had painted battleship gray.
I spent seven twelve hour days out there and couldn't wait to see the
slate against the new "white" paint. Things like your art make
a house a home and I just wanted to get back with you and say...
